Welcome all to <Savvy

I work at a Silicon Valley startup, right in the heart of the Silicon Valley - Castro Street, Mountain View. It seems like everyone I know is programmer, engineer or Stanford grad, all somehow involved in a startup. I never imagined myself getting in to such an industry, mostly because I am none of these things--programmer, engineer or Stanford grad. It's not that I'm not interested in startups; I am, just not the same ones as my current coworkers who are all part of this Castro Street cult. However, my job forces me to find and understand a plethora of startup sites everyday.

As a young, 20-something with an art degree, my interests vary greatly from those of the people around me. Though I know there are others out there like me, those that are a little on the "less than tech savvy" side, but are still interested in the nifty tools, apps and products that people are coming up with everyday, I just can't seem to find them withing my social network, though.

Thus Less Than Savvy was born. This is my forum for sharing the sites I find on a daily basis with others who are interested in the same things I am: design, culture, cooking, music, literature, balancing my checkbook and anything else that might make my life easier or more enjoyable. I will (hopefully) be profiling one startup a day that somehow falls in to one of these or any of a number of related categories; none of which my coworkers would particularly care for, all of which I hope you enjoy.
